Below are some of the real successes achieved on the Lemon Detox Diet.

Although the majority of testimonials include weight loss we have grouped them according to the many different benefits that customers have achieved on the program.

TYPE 2 DIABETES

"Being a Type 2 diabetic, I was initially a little concerned about the lemon detox diet. I extensively read the website and the advice given and decided to plunge head first into it.
I did not consult my doctor at first but decided on my own initiative to cease all medication.

I had been taking the following medication daily:
Coversyl 10mg x 1 (for high blood pressure)
Diamicron x 2 (for diabetes)
Diabex x 4 (again for diabetes)
Mobilis x 1 (anti-inflammatory)
Sulfasalazine x 2 (psoriatic arthritis)
And finally
Methotrexate x 21/2 weekly for psoriatic arthritis.

My average blood glucose readings at that point in time were:
7 day average 10.2 – 11.8
14 day average 10.4 – 11.3
30 day average 10.6 – 11.1
And note that this was a fasting reading before breakfast.

I did the detox for 15 days straight and my blood glucose readings
were as follows:
7 day average 7.9
14 day average 8.1
30 day average 8.7
And this is with NO food and NO medication!

IT IS WITHOUT QUESTION THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE FOR MY BODY AND MY HEALTH.

And I cannot reiterate that statement enough.

I had slight headaches in the evening for the first two days but all hunger pangs ceased after three days. My tongue became quite white and furry after four days (proof that the detox was in full swing) but felt so much better health wise that I regret not knowing about it sooner. After about four days, my skin was so much softer and smoother that I couldn’t believe just doing a detox could have such a drastic effect on my skin without the expense of other beauty treatments. As a beauty treatment alone – it is without equal.
I lost a total of 9 kgs in those two weeks and have succeeded in losing another 8kgs since then.

I did see my doctor in the second week of the detox and after analysing the results said as long as I was feeling fine they could see no reason for me to stop but to have a regular blood test to check the readings.
C reactive protein reading was as high as 15 and was down to 11 before the detox. After only 15 days on the detox the reading was down to 4. I nearly cried when my doctor told me that and I know that the detox was having a dramatic effect on reducing the chronic inflammation in my body.

Nearly three months later my fasting blood glucose was 7.0 at last test and my averages are as follows:
7 day average 5.7
14 day average 6.3
30 day average 6.8
And dropping daily as I am on the detox at this moment and I have not achieved these levels for last 8 years!
Still no medications, a total of 17 kgs weight loss and the best I have looked and felt in years.
I consider this a work in progress and expect the readings to only get better but wanted to give some detailed information to any type 2 diabetics and their practioners who had any misgivings about this programme.

Please note that this is my own personal experience and yours may differ slightly or even greatly and to consult medical advice always but cannot thank Madal Bal enough for the new lease of life that this detox has given me.

So if you give it a try, my best advice is to:
1. keep a diary (especially readings, changes in mood as well as physical)
2. invest in a tongue scraper – you will need it
3. if you are diabetic, take the drink as a meal breakfast, lunch and dinner so you leave a gap of 2 hours to be able to monitor your blood glucose readings accurately.
4. STICK WITH IT! It is so worth it and you won’t look back.

Just a final note, other brands do not work as well and leave you feeling very hungry and therefore likely to break the detox."
